...to all my American friends. I hope you enjoy a terrific long weekend.
I must say the weather cooperated for us up here and the Canada Day fireworks were spectacular. This week, with the holiday in the middle, ended up quiet and relaxing. I saw a couple of movies including
Wanted and
Wall-E, both of which I really liked. James McAvoy and Angelina Jolie totally kicked-ass and Wall-E was fun with a great message. Other than the movies, I wrote, walked the dog, and spent some quality time with my daughter now that school's out. All good.
I also borrowed my dad's laptop and got my daughter set up on it, so I won't have to share the family computer all summer long. With MSN being her main communication tool, it was an absolute necessity.
I'm hoping to fit some reading in along with the movies. I've almost caught up on my TBR, recently consuming a Greg Iles book,
True Evil, and a Michael Crichton book,
Next. I enjoyed
True Evil a lot, and found
Next intriguing, but a bit hard to follow because of the large cast of characters. I'm thinking about picking up the Roxanne St. Claire bullet catcher books--I've heard a lot of great things about the series. Anyone got other recommendations?
