Writing Life
This week didn't exactly go the way I expected it to. First day of school stuff and helping my dad with some errands ended up consuming the whole first half of the week. I barely got any writing done, and missing my quota always makes me cranky.

On a positive note, though, my cp was pounding away at her keyboard and sent me several chapters in quick succession--and that inspired me. I dove back into my manuscript and wrapped up the week by producing a full chapter. Not quite where I want to be, but close enough that I can catch up next week.

On a side note, I've noticed that no matter how dark and serious my story is, I always find spots to tuck in a bit of humor. Quirky descriptions, wacky secondary characters, or an amusing line of dialog...they just pop in. And I get a kick out of them. I used to think I didn't have a funny bone anywhere in my body, but my writing is proving me wrong. Does humor play a big part in your stories? Do you find humor easy to write?
