A lot of writers I know have tackled young adult books lately, for lots of different reasons. Can't say as I blame them, because they sell like hotcakes. I haven't considered writing one, but I
have included two young teens in recent manuscripts. Girls, both of them. And I've really enjoyed writing their sections. I find it fun to look at adult problems from a younger person's point of view and have their impressions impact the plot of the story. My current WIP really hinges on the teen's reactions.
I believe I do a pretty good job of writing the POV. Feedback I've received from publishing professionals on that element certainly seems to support my theory. I'm just not sure I could write an entire book from that perspective. Have any of you given it a try? Did you find it easy? Hard? Did you have to do a lot of research? (I
love research, LOL).
My WIP is trotting along...
